No. No roaster pays to appear in Explore or Similar, or to rank higher: coffees are ordered by what you asked for, nothing else. Is a roaster missing? Tell us through the contact page.
Yes. Every coffee Explore and Similar find says whether the roaster’s site lists it in stock, its price range and how far the roaster’s nearest shop is. With a plan, each coffee in your library shows its stock and that shop on its page. You buy on the roaster’s site or in its shop — a shop may not carry every coffee the site sells.
Dialing in a new bag by hand typically wastes five to ten shots — 90–180 g of beans, up to half a bag. Genius usually gets you there within a few shots. Ristretto covers about 5 new coffees and 60 dial-in suggestions a month.
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Your journal lives on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Genius requests are tied to a pseudonymous identifier, never to your name or email.
